Hack Club 2026 presents
Blueprint isn't just a workshop; it's a launchpad. A beginner-friendly day where students design PCBs, assemble drones, and leave with something real in their hands.
Students aged 13 to 18 (inclusive). Whether you're a middle schooler or finishing high school, you're welcome. No prior experience needed.
The Aga Khan Academy, Hyderabad. Drone testing will be done safely in a designated fully-netted indoor zone.
A hands-on event covering PCB design with EasyEDA Pro and full drone assembly — from frame to first flight, all in one day.
Part of Hack Club, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit empowering 50,000+ teenagers. For us, "hacking" means taking a box of parts and turning it into a flying machine.
Every drone built is judged. The top teams walk away with prizes — and every runner-up still keeps their build.
The drone you assembled is yours. Take it home, fly it, mod it indefinitely.
A custom domain, fully funded — your first piece of internet real estate.
Signed recognition from Hack Club leadership. Goes on the resume.
Your build, your drone. Every runner-up takes their machine home.
Official recognition for completing a full drone build in one day.
Judging is based on flight stability, build quality, and a short presentation to mentors at the end of the day. All participants receive a completion certificate.
During the EasyEDA Pro session, design a PCB no larger than 100×100mm. Any purpose — a sensor board, LED driver, custom controller. Make it yours.
Push your EasyEDA project to GitHub and submit the link. A message with submission instructions will be shared with all registered attendees before the event.
From 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, all designs are displayed. Every attendee votes for their favourite PCB. No self-votes. The community decides the winner.
The PCB with the most votes wins. Announced alongside the drone prizes at the 4:00 PM ceremony.
"I'd never touched a soldering iron before. By 4 PM I was flying something I built with my own hands. It was surreal."
"The PCB workshop changed how I think about electronics. I went home and ordered three more boards that same week."
"Hack Club events are just different. Everyone's genuinely excited to build things. That energy is completely addictive."
Building drones involves high-discharge LiPo batteries and fast-spinning carbon propellers. We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy for unsafe behavior.
Protective eyewear is provided and mandatory during assembly. No propellers will be attached until the drone is inside the designated, fully-netted indoor testing zone. All test flights are supervised by trained mentors at all times.
A massive day of engineering requires a tight schedule. Arrive on time!
Check-in at The Aga Khan Academy, set up your workstation, and receive your official Blueprint hardware kit and safety goggles.
Welcome to Blueprint! We'll cover the rules of the lab, safety protocols, and the mission for the day.
Design a real printed circuit board from scratch using EasyEDA Pro. Mentors guide you through the full process. Every attendee receives a $15 coupon to order their board delivered straight to their address.
Time to build. Mentors walk you through every component — frame, motors, flight controller, and electronics — and you assemble it yourself from your hardware kit.
A full catered lunch is provided. PCB Battle submissions are displayed — cast your vote for the best design before 2:00 PM. Connect with fellow builders and the organizing team.
Back to the build. Finish wiring, secure all connections, and get your drone flight-ready under mentor supervision.
Local food vendors set up outside the venue from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Grab a bite between flights. Menu will be shared soon.
Move to the cricket field. Throttle up and compete. Judges evaluate flight stability, build quality, and a short presentation.
Winners announced — drone prizes, domain prizes, and the PCB Battle winner. Certificates, group photo, and pack up.
Two hours of hands-on PCB design — sponsored by EasyEDA Pro and completely free for every attendee.
